Overview of the house
Ashfield house is a beautiful and spacious five bedroom house located in Rathmuck, Co. Kildare. It is located on large grounds for outdoor activities and is maintained to the highest standards to ensure it is a subline place for service users to engage in respite services.
Local amenities include a petting farm & Zoo, crazy golf, equestrian centre, Kildare Outlet Stores, Kildare town, Moore Abbey Woods, and many café’s, restaurants, Hotels, Shopping Centres and Primary Care Services. At Ashfield house you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing local activities.
The house has five individual bedrooms and the maximum capacity for five service users at any one time for respite services. There are large communal spaces on the ground floor with a large kitchen and dining area and a large sitting room. Each bedroom is individually decorated and is a safe and secure space for all our service users to retreat to and relax in.

Rathmuck is the 23,657th largest townland in Ireland and within Co. Kildare it is the 535th largest townland. Ashfield House is located near Kildare Farm Foods as our closest significant landmark, 300 yards from our front entrance. Kildare is the 24th largest of Ireland’s 32 counties in area and the 7th largest in terms of population. It is the eight largest of Lenister’s twelve counties in size, and the second largest in terms of population. It is bordered by the counties of Carlow, Laoise, Meath, Offaly, South Dublin and Wicklow. As an inland county, Kildare is generally a lowland region. The highest point are the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains bordering to the east. The highest point in Kildare is Cupidstown Hill on the border with South Dublin, with the better known Hill of Allen in central Kildare. As of 2022 the population of the county was 246,977.
